Salmagundi is proud to host the Ninth Annual Sylvia Maria Glesmann Members' Floral Exhibition.
About Sylvia Maria Glesmann
A member of the Salmagundi Club for many years, Sylvia Maria Glesmann has been an artist all her life. She began her studies as a teenager in a Germany devastated by the Second World War, and she was fortunate to have moved later to the United States with her family, where she has lived ever since. Sylvia has always loved nature and flowers, and watercolor is her medium of choice. Her lyrical paintings have been in numerous shows, and she has won many awards. Sylvia is a major benefactor of the Salmagundi Club, not only in giving our institution its first sizeable grant for the Gallery Renovation but also in donating her personal collection of over 50 watercolors, as well as the funds to maintain them, sponsoring the Annual Sylvia Maria Glesmann Members' Floral Show, and providing prizes in several of our exhibitions.
Gallery hours: Mon-Fri, 1-6pm, Sat & Sun 1-5pm.
Gallery will be closed on Wednesday, October 3, for private event.
