Janet A. Cook is a highly accomplished Salmagundi Artist Member who works primarily in oil, pastel and pen and ink. Currently represented by NYC’s Dacia Gallery and Haven Gallery, in Northport, NY, She was educated at the Art Students League, National Academy of Art and Design and holds a BA Hons in History of Art from de Montford University, UK. Janet has exhibited her work throughout the US and received numerous awards. She has taught at the Pastel Society of America since 2010 is now an instructor at the Art Students League in NYC. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Fine Art Connoisseur, American Artist Magazine, The Pastel Journal, and Drawing Magazine.

In the webinar, Janet will discuss her path of transitioning from a non-art “day job” in technology to pursuing and building her career as artist and teacher.
