Annie Shaver-Crandell's deeply felt connection to paper is on display in works done in a variety of mediums and subjects: still-life and plein air landscapes; monotypes of animals and plants; and abstract collages compounded of unusual papers.
Formerly a professor of medieval art history and women's studies at The City College of New York, she has been an artist member of Salmagundi since 2001 and currently serves on the Board of Directors.
She lives, works and teaches painting in her NoHo loft.
