Salmagundi is delighted to have Brian Soloff as a presenter. Join us with a comp glass of wine before the lecture for those over 21.

About the Product:
Chelsea Classical Studio fine art materials have been described as “the highest quality, handmade, natural, and archival artist materials created using historical methods and techniques; made by artists for artists.”

This lecture will discuss the Chelsea Classical Studio oil painting materials, plus a discussion of traditional materials and methods used to paint, prepare canvases and grounds, the different types of oils and their uses, as well as the myriad oil painting mediums. Learn more about materials used for hundreds of years as well as the ones that are safest to use today.

About the Presenter:

Brandon Soloff is a classically trained painter and portrait artist. His work has been commissioned and exhibited throughout the US and Europe. The primary focus of his art work is people, portraits, and nudes. He has completed commissioned portraits of several distinguished society, business, collegiate, and political personalities, and his work is on permanent display at several institutions including Dartmouth College and Westmont College. In 2013 he founded the Chelsea Classical Studio CCS, a small fine art school run in the atelier tradition, with the primary focus on the human figure. He teaches at CCS, the Art Students League, National Academy of Art, and has lectured at the Florence Academy of Art.
