Patricia Wynne and Maceo Mitchell return to the Patrons Gallery at Salmagundi to share recent works in pastel, etchings, monoprint, watercolor, pencil and ink. Both artists will be previewing new series. Maceo's new work subjects includes more brushes, especially new shaving brushes, hats, pillows inspired by Dürer, pencil studies, still life work in various media and a new big pastel multiple. Patricia's current project is The Wisdom of Rhino, a folio of 12 etchings featuring the last five species of rhinoceros on Earth as well as the most recently extinct species. A prototype of the folio box will be on view at the show. She has happily renewed her research position at the Smithsonian to further her projects. New Maceo ceramic tiles will also be available (and three by Patricia). One of the artists will always be present.
