Come and enjoy an afternoon collaborating and learning new techniques!
After nearly 4 years running the “Monotype Parties” at the Salmagundi Club, Robert Pillsbury (President of SCNY) will be offering a demonstration as well as an intensive hands-on workshop with instruction covering a wide range of techniques possible in the monotype process - including additive and subtractive approaches, ink viscosity, rolling methods, stencils and templates, paper and the printing process. The use of the ghost and demonstrate difference between monotypes and monoprints.

Reservations a must. Limited to 25 participants, observers also welcome.

Bring reference material to work from (and remember it will be a mirror image when printed).

There will be a $20 materials fee as we will provide everything you will need to make a print including paper, inks, and plates.
