Just in time for the holidays, this exhibition and sale of both small gems and large-scale works is a rare opportunity for collectors to view and purchase paintings from an international roster of highly acclaimed artists. Vanessa Rothe Fine Art presents REALISM WITHOUT BORDERS 2017, featuring 60 historic and contemporary works from American, Russian, Ukrainian, French, English, Italian, and Swedish painters, as well as a special resale opportunity from the Thomas Morano collection of contemporary American realist art. Now in its fifth year, REALISM WITHOUT BORDERS aims to connect two centuries and two continents through a shared commitment to realist-painting traditions.

The REALISM WITHOUT BORDERS 2017 exhibition features newest French artist-member Nicolas Martin, as well as Nick Alm, Grigory Ananiev, Mia Bergeron, John Burton, Michelle Dunaway, Michael Klein, Alexander Kremer, Sergey Kovalenko, Olga Krimon, Joshua LaRock, Jeremy Mann, Dimitri Motov, C.W Mundy, Robert Pillsbury, Peggi Kroll-Roberts, Ray Roberts, Vanessa Rothe, Valery Shmatko, Vadim Suvorov, Daniil Volkov, and Aaron Westerberg. Historic works on display include those by Alexi Borodin, Boris Gladchenko, Boris Grachev, Oleg Lomakin, Edgar Payne, Yuri Podlaski, Erik Rebane, and Vladimir Telegin. Artwork on resale from the Marano collection includes work from Juliette Aristides, Casey Baugh, Marc Dalessio, Daniel Graves, Jeremy Lipking, Jeremy Mann, Edward Minoff, Julio Reyes, Aaron Westerberg, and Vincent Xeus.

This REALISM WITHOUT BORDERS reception is free and open to the public. Join us in the Salmagundi Club’s elegant parlor for a celebratory night of quality international fine art. Several of the exhibiting artists will be in attendance. 
Lecture & Portrait Demo
Saturday, December 9, 1:00-4:30 p.m.
REALISM WITHOUT BORDERS curator Vanessa Rothe will present an educational lecture from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the Salmagundi Club on the origins of French, Russian, and American Impressionism and Realism and how they compare to the continuation of those traditions in contemporary styles. Following the lecture, internationally recognized painter Michelle Dunaway will offer a portrait demonstration from the model from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
