The Salmagundi Club is pleased to announce its annual Non-Member Exhibitions, one for Painting & Sculpture and the other for Photography & Graphics July 31 - Aug. 11, 2017. These competitive fine art exhibitions are comprised of works from all over the country and allows both well known and up-and-coming artists to exhibit their work in the Salmagundi Club's prestigious galleries.
Gallery hours are 1PM until 6PM on Mondays; 1PM until 8PM Tuesday through Friday and 1PM until 5PM on Saturday and Sunday. The Upper Gallery will close early at 6PM on Wednesday, August 9 for a product demonstration.

JUROR OF AWARDS for the Painting & Sculpture Exhbit will be MAX GINSBURG. Since 1953 he has exhibited extensively in public venues and commercial galleries and has won many awards. From 1980–2004 he painted illustrations for major publications. Ginsburg taught art at the H.S. Art & Design 1960-82, School of Visual Art 1984-2000, Art Students League 2008–present. He has given many workshops around the U.S. and abroad. In 2011 he published his book, “Max Ginsburg Retrospective”. www.maxginsburg.com, www.ginsburgillustration.com.
JUROR OF AWARDS for the Photography and Graphics Exhibition will be BUILDER LEVY. He has had more than 250 exhibitions, including more than 60 solo shows. His more than four-decade project, Appalachia USA, opened at the Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, FL in 2015, travelled to the Museum of Fine Arts, FSU in Tallahassee, and the National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum in Leadville, CO, in 2016. It goes to the Huntington Museum of Art in West Virginia in 2018. Levy’s solo exhibit at the Arnika Dawkins Gallery booth at AIPAD –The Photography Show 2017– was mentioned by Roberta Smith in her New York Times Review, (3/31/17). He is currently preparing a book of his work on New York City spanning five-and-a-half decades. http://www.builderlevy.com
