To celebrate her 95th birthday, SCNY Artist Member, Selma Hillman, will exhibit her stone and bronze sculpture at the Club from September 30, 2012 – October 6, 2012. The exhibition includes a large number of unique pieces, which she created over the last four decades.

Ms. Hillman began studying sculpting in the 1960’s after an earlier career as a painter. She was a student of Bruno Luchhesi for many years. She later joined a sculptor’s cooperative in Boca Raton, Florida, where she created many of the works shown in the exhibition. Ms. Hillman had an additional studio in Great Barrington, Massachusetts and was a member of the Sheffield Art League. Her work has received numerous awards over her long career, including honors here at SCNY.
