Sylvan Winds "Music of the Gilded Age”

The Sylvan Winds are excited to introduce the repertoire of our next recording, “Music of the Gilded Age,” with more rarely performed gems introduced to American audiences by French flutist Georges Barrère along with the only the second performance of movements from Griffes’ Three Tone-Pictues especially arranged for Barrère’s ensemble by the composer!  It is almost a centenary since its premiere on December 19, 1916.
