Joseph Bostany

National award winning textile design stylist Joseph Bostany has created works on fabric that have been used by many famous American fashion designers such as Donna Karan, Norma Kamali, Geoffrey Beane, Betsy Johnson, Anne Klein, Victor Costa, Liz Claiborne, Diane Von Fursetnberg, Bill Blass, Ralph Lauren and Norman Norell.

The Artist’s abstract expressionism is spontaneous; an explosion of brush work; pure emotion of form through the passion of color.

Bostany’s work has been exhibited in various one-man shows in Florida and New York, as well as many group shows such as at the Salmagundi Art Club, Silvermine Art Guild, the Mamaroneck art Guild, and is in various private collections.

In the past, Bostany held a renowned Art Director’s position for a major corporation, as well as being  Professor of Art at New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology.

The Studios of Bostany are located in Brooklyn and Westchester. His main gallery is situated in a charming 80-year old Dutch Colonial house and may be viewed by appointment. Appointments can be made by calling 718-745-6171 or 917-658-7355.

“Joseph Bostany lives in the world of continual possibility. He chases a vision till it erupts into an identity that provides him with a platform made up of endless questions. As we bring ourselves upon his colored and erythematic shapes we know that the ideas presented always dance with the blessing that life provides.” – Frank O’ Caine, Art Critic
