Glenn Erikson, PhD, AIA is a Board member for the Westbeth Center For The Arts in Greenwich Village, which at 384 units is the largest artist live/work complex in the US. Previously he designed and developed Electric ArtBlock in Venice, CA, the first new construction artist live/work project on the West Coast. He continued this work with artist/live/work projects in Brooklyn, Freeport, NY, Jersey City, and Berlin. He has been on design and development teams that have received eight design awards, and his work has been featured in Architectural Record, Progressive Architecture, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and several books. His PhD is in Urban Affairs and he taught the graduate course Urban Economics at CUNY. His writing includes five published articles including Strategizing Urban Policies for the Anthropocene and An Urbanist Manifesto. Glenn volunteers his time for various other nonprofits including Architecture Omi in Upstate NY.
