Jean Pierre Jacquet Jean Pierre Jacquet

I am a French-American painter. I was a lawyer but wanted to be a painter. Then I was a journalist but wanted to be a painter. Then I was a film cartoonist but wanted to be a painter. Now I am a painter and making up for lost time. I like to paint what I see, rather than what I know, and try to uncover the hidden designs in my subject matters, be it straight nature scenes or urban landscapes.

My work has been part of group and solo shows: 2004 Bendheim Gallery, Greenwich CT 2006 Galerie Jean Renoir, Paris 2006 Bendheim Gallery, Greenwich CT 2007 Espace-Oxygène, Paris 2008 Bendheim Gallery, Greenwich CT 2008 MoMA “Dreamland”, Featuring Flagrant Délit 2010 New Century Artists Gallery, NYC 2010 "Archi et BD"Cité de l'architecture, Palais de Chaillot, Paris 2012 Galerie Arteconte, Paris 2013 Centro Hispanico, Astoria, Queens NY 2015 Salmagundi Club Members Show 2015 Bennington Center for the Arts 2016 Salmagundi Floral Show 2016 Bendheim Gallery, Greenwich CT
