Artist's statement:

Having experienced a successful 31 year career as an illustrator, I chose to paint, as my second career, historical images of an 18th century Eastern Woodland Frontier. Scenes from the birth of our nation. Theses paintings are highly researched and therefore are permanently displayed at numerous museums and historical sites, in documentary films or are used to teach history in schools. This new career has been very successful with many awards of recognition along the way. I exhibit every year at the Masters Of The American West Show held at the Autry Museum ,and every year at the Quest For The West Show at the Eiteljorg Museum. I have been part of History Meets The Arts Show in Gettysburg , Pa for over twenty years . Currently I am a member of Oil Painters Of America and the Art Renewal Center has classified me as one of their Living Masters. I look forward to becoming a Salmagundian.
