Maria Marino Maria Marino

Maria graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), cum laude with a BFA in Interior Architecture. She has exhibited in many juried and invitational shows. Maria's paintings focus on the intimate settings found in the landscape that capture the moments that are bathed in light. Her focus is on the natural world using pastel, oil and other mediums to create a dialogue between the art and the viewer. With this, her roots are deep in the tradition of drawing; it being the binding element, the foundation of her art. Maria exhibits her work in national shows and in galleries. She has received recognition for her paintings by the Salmagundi Club, National Arts Club and the Allied Artists of America where she holds memberships. Her work is held in private collections in the U.S. Allied Artists of America award for pastel- 105th Allied Artists of America exhibition - Paint Annapolis 2018 Plein Air event, 2nd Place - Salmagundi Club Centennial Members Exhibition.
