Mary Elizabeth Rusz is an Architect and Urban Designer working in New York City. She has a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Toronto, and a Master of Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University. Her post-graduate career focus has been Urban Regeneration, primarily in NYC. Ms. Rusz is a member of the Forum for Urban Design, which focuses on the design and preservation of public space. This, along with other professional activities, including with the Housing and Urban Design Committees of the American Institute of Architects NY Chapter, and the Urban Design Committee of the City Club of New York, have provided venues for her promoting design excellence. Ms. Rusz is also a Watercolor Artist, and an active Member of the National Association of Women Artists. Her paintings capture the “essential nature of the place” of key Architectural Works; these explorations have, in turn, inspire her professional design work.
