Robert Beck Robert Beck

Robert Beck's plein air and studio paintings describe encounters with the occupations, events, and artifacts of our time. His work has taken him across the US and to foreign countries, with the majority of his images focusing on Maine, Manhattan, and Bucks County.

Beck's oils have been given three in-depth museum exhibitions, presented in 30 solo gallery shows, and dozens of juried exhibits. He was a finalist for the Pew Fellowship, received the Philadelphia Sketch Club Medal for Excellence and Contribution to the Arts, was named Honored Artist by Phillips Mill, and Legacy Artist by New Hope Arts.

Robert attended the PAFA, is a teacher, a curator, a lecturer, a writer, and he has hosted a radio interview program. His art-related column has appeared monthly in ICON Magazine since 2005. He lives with his wife, Doreen, in New Hope, PA, and Manhattan.
