MICHAEL BUDDEN

Known for years as an award winning wildlife artist, Mike has shifted his interest to painting landscapes, seascapes, and still life with a focus on capturing light and design. Using a painterly approach, his subject matter ranges from his native state of New Jersey to the Rocky Mountains.   Inspiration comes mostly from observing and painting directly from nature whenever possible and an intense study of not only the deceased masters but of his contemporaries as well. His paintings can be found in many collections including three museums as well as his prints in hundreds of private collections nationally.

Now painting as an artist truer to his inner spirit, Mike is again winning awards. He is a two time winner of   the "Arthur T. Hill Memorial Award" for the best landscape by an artist 45 years or younger at the prestigious New York City "Salmagundi Club". His art can be found at many galleries and exhibitions  nationally.
